Re: Hard to believe "Dynamic Loading of User Control with ViewState Preserved" works 3/4/2006 1:38:14 PM   (Total replies: 0)
wyx2000, Yes, you are correct. My example used static controls in .ascx file. I did not investigate the behavior for dynamic controls within the UserControl (ascx). Though, I would be intesred to see how it works. I don't think my example will work if you turn off the ViewState. How would the ASP.Net know the state? Thanks for the comments. Prodip

How to pass oledbparameter object across application domain 2/1/2006 4:41:06 PM   (Total replies: 0)

Download the source codes (VS 2003, v1.1) from- http://www.aspnet4you.com/Articles.aspx?ArticleID=5029 The problem appears to be with OleDBParameter object. After you download the codes, look at the method called AttachParameters in OleDbDataAccess.cs file (under DataAccess\OleDbDataAccess). You have to use reflection to add parameters (LocalOleDBParameter()). I intercepted the correct error when I ...

An unhandled exception has been caught by the VSW exception filter. VS.Net IDE crashes with an error message saying- An unhandled exception has been caught by the VSW exception filter. SQL Database Restore experience 5/13/2005 7:31:59 PM   (Total replies: 0)
Yesterday, I inadvertently ruined the whole SQL database. You know the consequences- the site was completely down immediately. Thanks to the Webhost4life team. They got the database restored in less than an hour. It cost me $30 but I was able to avoid the catastrophe. Even though someone always answer the phone but I found the support is more effective over the support site. Thanks, Admin
